Early People of the Northlands (Week)
In this tour you will experience the wonderful and mysterious monuments which are all that are left of the earliest settlers in the Highlands. These prehistoric people first came to the area some 8000 years ago, and successive generations have left their mark on the landscape of the far North. Join us for a trip where, after a day of visiting outstanding early sites in the Inverness area, we travel North to the beautiful wide open spaces of Sutherland and Caithness. From day-to-day houses to still-mighty monuments, we'll take you to some of the best-preserved archaeological sites in Britain - many untouched by human hands since they were last used by their inhabitants.
