Itinerary
SaturdayWelcome reception and dinner at your Nairn hotel. Opportunity to meet your tour leader and companions, and find out about what lies in store! Overnight in Nairn.
SundayWe visit a wealth of outstanding prehistoric sites in Nairnshire, Inverness and Easter Ross. After a full day we return to our hotel in time for dinner.
MondayToday we begin our journey north, travelling to the Lairg area and visiting a number of sites en route to the beautiful Kyle of Tongue and to your hotel for the night in Tongue.
TuesdayToday we head eastwards to investigate the unique delights of the Strathnaver area, and return to Tongue tired but refreshed by pure Sutherland air, fascinating sites and magnificent scenery.
WednesdayHeading east today, we visit Caithness and explore some of the best-preserved archaeological sites in the area. We travel on through expanses of moorland and along stretches of spectacular coastline to our overnight accommodation on the Caithness coast.
ThursdayWe spend the whole day exploring more of the rich tapestry of prehistory that Caithness has to offer, returning to our hotel for a well-deserved rest!
FridayWe start the journey south today, with an exploration of some of the best sites in the Strath of Kildonan area. We arrive in historic Tain for our final evening.
SaturdayToday, we offer you a comfortable journey through some of the most magical scenery in the Highlands, stopping at the Tarbat Discovery Centre for our last taste of past. We will arrive at Inverness by 1pm, to allow you to continue your journey home.
