Rowan Tree Consulting’s Director Helen Smith was formerly a member of the Highland Council’s Cultural and Leisure Services and Economic Development management teams and has extensive practical experience of managing and developing projects relating to tourism, heritage and economic development in the Highlands. She is a member of the Institution of Economic Development and the Association for Heritage Interpretation. An Honours Languages graduate, Helen also has a Post-graduate Diploma in Accounting, a Post-graduate Certificate in Interpretation Management and Practice, and a Certificate in Scottish Archaeology.

Project Officer Hazel Bews is an Honours Archaeology graduate and is an Associate Member of the Institute for Archaeologists (AIfA). She also has a Post-graduate Certificate in Interpretation Management and Practice and a Chartered Institute of Marketing Certificate in Marketing and extensive hands-on experience of working with tourism businesses and local community groups.

Other staff can be brought in to work on specific projects as required. We also work closely with a number of consultancy teams in the Highlands whose skills, experience and approach complement our own. Whatever your project, we can provide the skills and experience you need!
